An interesting construction detail is that this corridor is equipped on its exterior wall with a large number of 30-centimeters spears, and because of these blades the wall is known as the "Wall of Swords". Of course, the weapons were encased here for protection - to defend the vulnerable corridor against the attackers bold enough to climb the Nagoya Castle's famous fan sloping wall...
