Nakamise shopping street bird's eye view

Nakamise-dori is the small street connecting the Kaminarimon and the Hozomon gates of the Senso-ji Temple in Asakusa, Tokyo. It is one of the oldest shopping centers in Japan.

Although it was reconstructed almost completely two times in its history, the shops lining the street are still used exactly the same as they were when they were established, 350 years ago. After the WWII the street has 54 shops on the East side and 35 on the West side selling sweets, snacks, toys and souvenirs.
