Muza-chan's Gate to Japan

National Treasures of Japan, Inuyama Castle

Fri, April 3, 2015, by Muza-chan
From the several hundred Japanese castles that were built during the medieval age, only twelve survived in their original form, and among them four were listed as National Treasures of Japan.

One of these four National Treasures is the Inuyama Castle, whose 25-meters-tall tenshu (main keep), built in 1601, is one of the most beautiful such structures in Japan.
