Arriving in Japan right on the last day of the year, the first thing I did was to visit several shops, buying traditional Japanese New Year decorations. And before leaving for the New Year Party, I decorated my hotel room...

Obviously I bought Shimenawa and Kagami mochi, and the seller let me took a few pictures at the New Year decorations stand:
