The complex of shrines and temples of Nikko is a good example of harmoniously integration of buildings in the nature. Here, on a surface of 50.8 hectares of wood there are 103 cladiri. Listed as a World Heritage Site, Nikko is a wonderful illustration of the Edo period architecture.
