Reflections nr.22, Odawara Castle Akagane Gate

The reconstruction of the Odawara Castle started in 1960, with the works on the five-storied donjon. The first defense wall followed in 1971, with the Tokiwagi Gate and the Tokiwa Wooden Bridge (visible here as a small dot of red on the left). The second defense wall was rebuilt 26 years later and the external wall was recently finished, in 2009.
Akagane Gate is part of the second wall, which is surrounded by a moat filled with water. With a perfectly still water, in a day without wind, the moat gave me the opportunity to capture this perfect reflection...
