Muza-chan's Gate to Japan

Okayama Koraku-en, Japanese garden panoramic view

Wed, April 4, 2012, by Muza-chan
Okayama Koraku-en is one of the most beautiful strolling gardens from Japan and I loved it because of its wide spaces. The garden's elements are spaced from each other, so on a green meadow you will relax your gaze on a group of rocks or shrubs, on a stone lantern or a little bridge, with wide alleys and... even a rice pad (on the right side of the photo).

Because of the wide-angle lens, in this panoramic view you can admire a lot more than the naked eye can perceive at a single glance... The lake in the middle of the picture is the Sawa-no-ike Pond, with its three islands, designed with the same simplicity as the rest of the garden.
