Muza-chan's Gate to Japan

Old Samurai House

Sun, July 8, 2012, by Muza-chan
We are all fascinated by samurai stories, we read books and we watch movies about them... but to get a glimpse of their real life, one of the best things to do is to visit a museum. At the Boso no Mura Open Air Museum in Chiba, you can see a house, from the Edo Period, of a middle class samurai warrior from the Sakura clan. A large but simple courtyard and in the house there are several rooms used by the family, a guestroom and a kitchen.
