The power of a lone cherry tree

Visiting Japan during the cherry blossom season, I was always impressed by the rows of blooming sakura, some of them creating cherry blossom tunnels.

But I was also fascinated by the lone cherry trees, with the power to catch everyone's attention. The beauty of these trees make the passersby stop and notice details that may get overlooked otherwise: the shape of the tree crown, or the delicate branches, heavy with blossoms...
