Muza-chan's Gate to Japan

Prince Shotoku Hall

Tue, June 12, 2018, by Muza-chan
The Hall of Visions is an octagonal building originally built at Hōryū-ji in Nara (Yumedono) about 1300 years ago, on the place of the palace of legendary Prince Shōtoku.

Over the time, it was also built in several other places in Japan. Photographed here is the one of the Narita-san Shinshō-ji temple in Narita. Like most buildings of Narita-san, the hall is painted in vermilion.
