Muza-chan's Gate to Japan

Sakura blossom at Jourenji, Tokyo

Sat, March 18, 2017, by Muza-chan
My favorite sakura blossom views are those where there's Japanese traditional architecture in the background, like this kanzan sakura twig in front of the main hall of Jourenji, in Itabashi, Tokyo, a temple famous for having one of the most beautiful Great Buddha statues in Tokyo. The kanzan variety blooms in the Tokyo area mid to late April, about a month after the more common sakura cherry trees.
