Muza-chan's Gate to Japan

Sakura blossoms at Kurama-dera

Thu, March 17, 2016, by Muza-chan
Located on Mount Kurama, about one hour by train from Kyoto Station, Kurama-dera is a temple well worth a day trip from Kyoto, especially if you enjoy a walk up the mountainside.

The landscape is very enjoyable especially in springtime, during the cherry blossoms season, when the sakura are blooming around the temple's main hall, in a beautiful harmony between nature and man made structures.
