Muza-chan's Gate to Japan

Sakura cherry trees at Heian Jingu Kyoto

Tue, March 20, 2018, by Muza-chan
Built as a smaller scale replica of the Heian Palace of Heian-kyo (the old name of today's Kyoto), Heian Jingu replicates not only the architecture but also... the trees inside the compound. There are two trees of different species, an orange tree and a sakura tree, photographed here during the full bloom season.
