Muza-chan's Gate to Japan

Sakura ephemeral beauty

Sun, March 27, 2016, by Muza-chan
To the Japanese people, the cherry blossoms are a symbol of ephemeral beauty, and also a reminder that everything that lives will eventually die. After I witnessed the sakura flowers quickly evolving from delicate buds to bright blossoms, reaching the moment of withering in just a few days, I understood a bit of the Japanese sensitivity to their ephemeral beauty.

Watching the entire lifespan of the sakura flowers through the lenses of the camera was an intense and fulfilling experience, that I'm looking forward to repeat every year...
