Muza-chan's Gate to Japan

Samurai armors

Fri, May 4, 2018, by Muza-chan
The samurai armor was made of 6 components, the helmet (kabuto), facial armor, chest armor, armored sleeves, shin armor and thigh armor. The body parts were made of a cloth support on which the iron or leather plates were attached and in some cases consolidated with chain armor.

All the components were tied together with cords made of silk or leather, and the result was a resistant, lightweight and flexible armor, good for both standing and horse riding.
