Muza-chan's Gate to Japan

Sengan-en, Edo period Japanese garden

Fri, March 24, 2017, by Muza-chan
Among the most valuable Japanese gardens, the southernmost is Sengan-en, in Kagoshima, a traditional garden made during the Edo period for the residence of the Shimazu clan. Due to the subtropical climate, besides the usual elements Sengan-en also features plants such as palm trees, and several exotic tropical species.
