Shibuya Station Green Frog

In the always crowded Shibuya, one of the most popular meeting places is an old train wagon, affectionately called the "Green frog" - Ao-gaeru.

Ao-gaeru was originally a Series 5000 rail car belonging to the Tokyu Corporation, an important private railway company in the Greater Tokyo Area, headquartered right here, in Shibuya. Built in 1954, this series operated between Shibuya, Tokyo and Sakuragicho, Yokahama. Today, if you step inside, you will find a nice mini-museum with old photos from Shibuya...
