The city of Takamatsu, on the Shikoku Island, gave me the impression of a very friendly city, well prepared for tourists. This feeling begins right from the JR Takamatsu train station, nicknamed "Shikoku Smile Station".

As you can see in the photo, the station greets travelers with a large glass facade decorated with a smiley face representing the station's mascot Eki-chan...
