Shinagawa Kumin Park is one of the most beautiful parks in Tokyo. The park was landscaped in 1987, by filling a part of the Katsushima canal (which, connected to Tokyo Bay, still supplies the water for the park salt water lake, Katsushima-no Umi).

Featuring sand beaches, rocks, pine trees, chery trees and stone lanterns, the park is a real landscaping masterpiece, designed to reproduce the Shinagawa beach, which disappeared long time ago...
