The first skyscraper built in Nishi-Shinjuku was Keio Plaza Hotel - North Tower (178 meters), in 1971. The most recent one is the Mode Gakuen Cocoon Tower (204 meters), finished in 2008.
The construction of skyscrapers will continue, the Nishi-Shinjuku 3-Chōme Redevelopment project includes the East Office Tower, which will become the tallest building in Japan, with a height of 338 meters.
