Shopping arcades in Osaka

When I'm in Japan, I don't want to "waste" any moment, not even during bad weather. So, the shopping arcades are always a choice reserved for rainy or freezing days... or for a late evening walk, when other attractions are closing. Many Japanese cities have attractive shopping arcades, some of them very extensive, measured in kilometers. It is said that the longest covered shopping arcade in Japan is in Takamatsu city, measuring 2.7 km!

Therefore, I spent a lot of time visiting shopping arcades... But one of my favorite evenings was in Osaka, in a shopping arcade from Umeda District, filled with small stores, brightly colored billboards, with tempting UFO catchers (at least for me...) and the deafening sound coming whenever a Pachinko parlor door was opening. Many groups with happy people coming from or going to a restaurant or a karaoke venue... and everything enveloped by the aroma of soy sauce, so specific to Japan...
