I very much enjoyed my visit to the Fujita Memorial Japanese Garden in Hirosaki, one of the largest (surface wise) gardens in Japan. Made in 1919, the garden is divided in two parts, a hilly part from where the visitors can admire the entire scenery and a flatland area surrounding the pond, photographed here. I had the chance to visit it on a clear autumn day, when the pond's surface was smooth as glass, reflecting the surrounding trees... Simply beautiful!
