Muza-chan's Gate to Japan

Simply beautiful Japanese scenes, Senso-ji pagoda illumination

Sat, September 12, 2015, by Muza-chan
Situated inside a large area of low-rise buildings, the pagoda of the Senso-ji temple in Asakusa, Tokyo, is the most striking landmark in this neighborhood, especially by night time, when it is illuminated. The illumination design was created by Motoko Ishii, one of Japan's top lighting designers, who also designed the lights for Rainbow Bridge, Tokyo Tower and Roppongi Hills.

One of the best places to admire it is on the top floor of the nearby Asakusa Culture Tourist Information Center... Simply beautiful!
