Muza-chan's Gate to Japan

Simply beautiful Japanese scenes, Tenno-ji Daibutsu in the rain

Tue, September 23, 2014, by Muza-chan
I love the Great Buddha (daibutsu) statues, whenever I'm near one I get a feeling of peace and tranquility, even if it's noisy around me... One of the most pleasant such experiences was in front of this daibutsu, at the Gokokusan Tenno-ji Temple in Yanaka, Tokyo, which I happen to visit exactly when a summer rain began to fall. It was silent around me, and only the raindrops were heard... Simply beautiful!
