Muza-chan's Gate to Japan

Sumida-gawa banks from Mannen-bashi

Mon, August 23, 2010, by Muza-chan
200 years ago, from the Mannen-bashi in Fukagawa, it was possible to see the Mount Fuji (like in the famous Housai ukiyo-e, Under Mannen Bridge at Fukagawa). Today, the Mount Fuji can be seen just from a few places, on clear days.
But out of curiosity, I went to the bridge to see how the landscape looks now. Of course, no way to see the Mount Fuji... just the Sumida river banks and the blue bridge, Kiyosu-bashi.
