Muza-chan's Gate to Japan

Taiko bridge

Mon, October 10, 2016, by Muza-chan
Inside the Japanese gardens, some bridges are designed to be as unnoticeable as possible, and to completely blend into the landscape, while others are designed to stand out as much as possible.

Photographed here is a taikobashi arched bridge inside the New Otani garden in Tokyo. Painted red, it stands out while still harmonizing with the surrounding greenery.
