Muza-chan's Gate to Japan

Tanabata in Center Gai, Shibuya

Sat, July 7, 2018, by Muza-chan
The legend says that Tanabata, is the only day when, if it doesn't rain, the two lovers Orihime (the star Vega from the Lyra constellation) and Hikoboshi (the star Altair from the Aquila constellation) can meet each other.

On this day many streets in Japan are decorated with ornaments called fukinagashi, streamers made to symbolize the weaving made by Orihime (Orihime can be translated as "weaving princess", read the story here).
