The first tea house on this ground was established 300 years ago and it belonged, together with the garden, to the Tokugawa family.
The present day Nakajima-no-ochaya, renovated in 1983, is opened to the public, and you can admire the Japanese garden scenery while you're relaxing with a cup of tea, like the Shoguns used to do it...
