Muza-chan's Gate to Japan

Togo Shrine Japanese Garden in Winter

Wed, January 19, 2011, by Muza-chan
The Togo Shrine from Harajuku is dedicated to Admiral Tōgō Heihachirō, a Fleet Admiral in the Imperial Japanese Navy. He defeated the Russian fleet in the Russo-Japanese War in 1905 (the Battle of Tsushima) and is considered one of Japan's greatest naval heroes.
Nearby the shrine there's a small Japanese Garden which now, in full winter, amazed me with the richness of colors.
