The Red Bridge of Tokiwagi Gate

The five-storied donjon of the Odawara Castle (Odawara-jo) was rebuilt in 1960, at the anniversary of 20 years since Odawara was proclaimed city.
The castle was originally built by Hojo Soun in 1495, but was demolished in 1872, by the Meiji government.
100 years after the demolition, the reconstruction of the gates and the walls began. The first gate, Tokiwagi Gate, was rebuilt in 1971, together with the Tokiwa Wooden Bridge:
