Muza-chan's Gate to Japan

Tokyo Christmas Illuminations, winter walk in Shinjuku Southern Terrace and a travel tip

Sun, December 11, 2011, by Muza-chan
Located near the southern exit of the Shinjuku Station, the Shinjuku Southern Terrace is, regardless of the season, one of the best places for an evening walk in Tokyo. However, at the end of the year, thousands of white and blue lights are creating here one of the most beautiful places in Tokyo.

Last year, I spent a frosty night here taking photos and I enjoyed it so much that I stopped only when my hands froze so bad that it became impossible to control my camera... And I didn't wanted to leave so I went to Starbucks for a cofee and... then I returned to take more photos...

Travel tip: The Shinjuku Southern Lights can be admired here until January 31, 2012, between 5PM and 10PM
