Tokyo's little houses, a bird's-eye view

With a over 2600 people per square kilometer, Tokyo is one of the most densely populated areas in the world. And by looking at these statistics, you would believe that the vast majority of its citizens are living in huge residential buildings.

But if you travel farther away from the commercial centers, you will discover that a large part of Tokyo is actually made of cute narrow streets and little houses with colorful roofs... generally very quiet neighborhoods, pleasant places for living... like the one in this bird's-eye view, photographed from the Sunshine 60 observatory.
