Muza-chan's Gate to Japan

My favorite Ginza view... and a travel tip

Sun, April 17, 2011, by Muza-chan
A stroll through Ginza, one of the most expensive and luxurious venues in the world, is always a pleasure for me. I haven't visited too many shops and I don't remember having bought anything big, I simply like walking down the streets...
But my favorite Ginza view (and one of my overall favorites in Tokyo) is the Chuo-dori street viewed all the way from Shimbashi, at the south limit of Ginza.

Travel Tip: The best time to visit Ginza is on weekend afternoons, on Saturday between 2pm-5pm and on Sunday between 12am-5pm (6pm during summer), when the traffic on Chuo-dori is closed and the whole street becomes pedestrian.
