Tokyo Sky Tree, the tallest tower in the world

Ever since the original project was launched, Tokyo Sky Tree was planned to be the tallest freestanding tower in the world. And to achieve this record, it was decided that the tower should have a height of over 600 meters. In the end, its final height was decided to be 634 meters.

The reason for this particular height is that if read by using old Japanese numbers, "634" is pronounced "mu-sa-shi". Musashi was the name of the old province covering the area of today's Tokyo and Saitama...
