The place suffered only minor damages during the Great Kanto Earthquake and wasn't bombed during the WWII, so it remained almost unchanged since the end of the 19th century. It's a place best to be explored by foot and offers one of the best bird's eye views, as you can see in this photo taken from the Saint Luke's Tower skyscraper.
