The most important house in Tondabayashi Jinaimachi was designated as a nationally important cultural property and it is today a museum, the only house in the city opened for visitors. It belonged to the Sugiyama family, a prosperous sake brewery owner, and was perfectly preserved as it was 400 years ago.
