Muza-chan's Gate to Japan

Traditional Japanese street

Wed, November 19, 2014, by Muza-chan
While strolling down this old, Edo Period Japanese street, I suddenly understood the fascination experienced by the first Westerners to reach Japan after the end of the seclusion policy. 150 years ago, Japan was truly a unique place, with exotic traditions, architecture, clothing and food...

This is a museum street (inside the Chiba open air museum Boso no Mura), and few places in Japan are preserving this old time flavor. But Japan is still a fascinating place.
