In winter, when a hot meal is always welcome, it is a good time to experience the Japanese pleasure of eating at a street food stall (yatai in Japanese).

The most famous yatai areas are in Fukuoka, on the Nakasu Island and in Tenjin (photographed here). It is a guaranteed delicious culinary experience but more than this, it is a unique to Japan social experience...
