Yatsuhashi is a type of bridge specific to Japan, made usually to cross an iris marsh. The name comes from its shape, yatsuhashi meaning "eight bridges". Often made of 8 wooden planks placed in a zig-zag pattern, this type of bridge always creates an elegant ambiance.
