Bitchu Matsuyama Castle, the only surviving mountain castle

One of the 12 original surviving Japanese castles, the Bitchū Matsuyama Castle owns two “records": it is the only remaining yamajiro “mountain castle” and it is also the castle located at the highest altitude above sea level, at 430 meters.
