Fushimi Inari Shrine torii, unusual outside view

I returned several times to the Fushimi Inari Taisha in Kyoto, on the mountain crossed by the rows of thousands of torii gates (called senbon torii in Japanese), in different moments of the day, in sunny days, cloudy days and rainy days, fascinated by the beauty of the place.

The spot is well known, and there are many pictures about it, but here’s a more unusual photo, taken from outside the row of the gates, on a cloudy but beautiful day, when the cloud-filtered light emphasizes the red-vermilion color of the torii…
