Japan Architecture, Mode Gakuen Spiral Towers

Mon, September 12, 2011, by Muza-chan

Inaugurated in 2008, the same year as the Mode Gakuen Cocoon Tower, from Shinjuku, Tokyo, the Mode Gakuen Spiral Towers 「モード学園スパイラルタワーズ」 from Nagoya is an educational building too, hosting three schools: fashion design, computer programming and medical support.

The Spiral Towers building is 170 meters tall and each of the three schools is housed in one of the wings rotating around the central core. It is 34 meters smaller than its “brother” from Shinjuku, but I like its design even more. It gives a feeling somewhat “religious” and at the same time it made me stroll all the way around it… it seems like it’s changing its shape…
