The today’s Kaminarimon gate at the Senso-ji temple was reconstructed in 1960 with donations from the company Matsushita Denki (present day Panasonic). The paper part of this huge lantern, which is 3.9 meters tall and 3.3 meters wide, was replaced until now 5 times, the last time in 2013.
