Many cultures have full moon celebrations, especially during the period near the autumnal equinox, the “harvest moon". In Japan, the Tsukimi (moon-viewing) is celebrated on the 15th day of the eighth month of the traditional Japanese lunisolar calendar, which in 2010 is September 22 - today!
Ever since I was a kid, I was fascinated by the full moon. I still am, and I always photograph it. Until now, the most beautiful full moon I’ve seen was at the Senso-ji Temple in Asakusa…
