The Japanese gardens were miniaturized in many ways, from the tsubo-niwa home style to the tiniest Zen rock garden squeezed between temple buildings. And even the garden with pond can be miniaturized as you can see in this photo taken in front of the Enyo-tei House, inside the Koraku-en in Okayama. A miniaturized island, with an old pine, trimmed to a corresponding size, and a stone bridge, too small to be actually used… Charming!
