Muza-chan's Gate to Japan

Cherry blossoms and white paper lanterns at Mount Kurama, Kyoto

Thu, April 18, 2013, by Muza-chan
I know how to recognize a sakura cherry tree by its bark and, until now, during many summer visits I tried to imagine how a place would look like during the sakura blossom period.

That's what happened two years ago, when I first visited Mount Kurama near Kyoto: at Kurama-dera, after admiring the temple's beautiful white lanterns, I realized that all the trees surrounding the building were white sakura... And I closed my eyes, trying to imagine them in full blossom. So, this year, visiting Kyoto exactly during full bloom, I also made a new trip to Kurama... and as you can see from my photo, the place looks truly magical...
