Muza-chan's Gate to Japan

Tokyo Architecture, "Gundam" Building

Sun, March 20, 2011, by Muza-chan
One of the most interesting buildings I've encountered in Tokyo is the Aoyama Technical College, a great example of post-modern architecture, created in 1990 by the architect Makoto Sei Watanabe.
"Architecture ought to be something capable of moving people's hearts and giving them a physical thrill in a way possible in no other art."
Makoto Sei Watanabe

And indeed, this building made from many different elements ingeniously tied together, does not leave you indifferent, you cannot pass by without a second look.

Located close to Shibuya, the building is also known as the "Gundam" building, because many people think that it looks like the robots from Gundam anime series.
