Kanmon Straits, spectacular bird's-eye night view

Kanmon Straits, the narrow passage of water that separates the Japanese islands of Honshū and Kyūshū, is also one of the main attractions of Shimonoseki. Here you can enjoy a stroll along the seafront (a place filled with history), you can take a boat ride across the strait or you can go visit the legendary Ganryū island, the place of the famous duel between Miyamoto Musashi and Sasaki Kojiro...

You can also admire the entire area from up above, from the observatory of the 153 meters tall Kaikyō Yume tower. Besides the Kanmon Straits, you can admire the spectacularly lit Kanmon Bridge, and the beautiful light show offered by the Ferris Wheel.
