Muza-chan's Gate to Japan

Nigatsu-do, Japanese National Treasure

Fri, February 1, 2013, by Muza-chan
One of the most beautiful places in Nara is the complex from the Todai-ji Temple. There are many buildings declared as National Treasures and one that stands out among them is Nigatsu-do, the Hall of the Second Month. Its location is perfect, right on the edge of the Mount Wakakusa and since it is a bit less known, it remains a special place, away from the crowds and the bustle of the Great Buddha Hall. The building is almost 350 years old and, as you can see, is an architectural masterpiece.
