The 256-meter skyscraper Rinku Gate Tower Building was originally designed as part of a two towers project, who was to look like an entrance gate for the Kansai International Airport. By the time it was finished, Rinku Gate Tower was the second tallest building in Japan, second only to Yokohama Landmark Tower.
